Stuff a Cruiser

On Saturday November 24, 2012 Rainy River District Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting Stuff A Cruiser. With the assistance of our policing partners, officers will be outside Atikokan Foodland from 1pm - 6pm and the Atikokan Economic Development Office from 6pm - 7pm.
On Saturday December 8, 2012 Rainy River District OPP Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police will be hosting their annual Stuff a Cruiser. With the assistance of our policing partners, Treaty 3 Police and CN Police, officers will be outside Wal-mart, Canada Safeway, The Place and Cloverleaf Grocery from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
Officers will be collecting nonperishable food products to support of the Salvation Army, United Native Friendship Centre, Sunset Country Metis and Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau. All items collected will be turned over to these organizations to assist with the goal that everyone in our community is able to enjoy the festive season.

Annual Community Christmas Dinner
The Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau is proud to offer the Annual Community Christmas Dinner. For the past 24 years, the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau and community partners have coordinated a fantastic event designed to bring families and community together. Together we support each other with a warm nutritious meal, camaraderie and friendship. In past events, we have supported up to 300 people at the annual dinner event, including over 60 Meals on Wheels.
This year the dinner will be held on Saturday December 25th, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the Knox United Church. Meals on Wheels will be available for those who are unable to attend the Knox United Church, delivery beginning at 11:00 am. Meals on Wheels orders are requested prior to December 22 by calling the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau at 274-9555.
Food and monetary donations are accepted. Volunteers are required to prepare food for the meal. We will accept small door prizes for girls and boys as well as men and women.
